I am a new owner of a 93 Classic 4.2 LSE. My screen wipers have just stopped working. I have checked the fuse etc. and all is okay. The wash works and you can hear the motor turning when the wipers are turned on. I believe that the problem is based on the motor coming away from the wiper linkage. I have also seen that to gain access to the motor I have to remove the Deck Pate(Panel) or whatever its called that is the panel across the front of the car between the bonnet and windscreen.

Do I have to take the bonnet off as well? has anyone had any experience of doing this and got any tips for me?

I had a similar problem with my 89 Vogue. The linkage had come apart but was still connected to the motor, causing a loud CLONK when switching on the wipers. It is easier if you remove the bonnet, not a difficult job but best if you have an assistant to lift it off and back on again. HTH.
