I have a problem with my ABS. THe light stays on. There are some other possibly related issues, and one probably not related issue but will mention it anyway just in case..

The light come on with the ignition and stayes on never going out.
The brake pump runs for a long time before turning off, but does not run much in use.
The brake light have a tendancy to stuck on and there is some play in the pedal.
The gearbox poverheat warning light some on with the hand brake light.

I ahve run a DVM over all 4 sensors and they all gave a resiatnace on 1.75K ohms which seems about right.

Is there a way to get a fail code out of the system? Is there an 'over volts' relay as on the bosch systems? how do I check to see if power is getting to the system

The ABS is a twitchy thing.

Do a search and you will find all you need to know. Get a blink code out of it and start from there. Your are likely to have more than one fault so it could take a while to clear the fault memeory down.

The pump should run for no more than 45 seconds after it has been sat for a while - if it does you may have a dicky pressure switch or the accumulator may be faulty.

Gearbox temperature light coming on with handbrake is normal. As long as it is not on when you are driving wouldn't think it a problem.

Ahh, how do I get a blink code out of it? and how does the ABS light behave when it is working?

Like I said do a search - Look at the top of the page you'll see it says "search" (next to quick links) click on that and then enter ABS as your search and you'll get a big list of stuff.
