Just a thought while perusing the Shropshire Couinty Councils definitive
map of foot paths,bridalways and b.o.a.t.s .
I noticed that the sunken lane known localy as the Cwms from stretton to cardington is listed as a bridalway ! when did that happen?

was a good 6 months ago if not longer i read something about it being downgraded

In hind sight I think because the lane became unpassable due to land slip they rerouted the bridal way across the adjacent field with the good will of the farmer.
However there is no vehicle right of way hence the downgrade ,
I know that a detirmined off roader will get through! but sombody got stuck in the lane in a unmodded disco a while back compleat with wife and kids
coming north /south from cardington to stretton ,and had to get towed out by said farmer,(it made the Shropshire star hot news).
this may have somthing to do with it.

Looking @ Shrops CC online list of streets its not a bridleway, its ok to drive, its on the LOS.

There is however a fp that runs right alongside it on the left bank if you're heading away from Church Stretton.

No sure about current access but was up there 8 weeks or so ago and from the Church Stretton side access involves up and over a kerb, no probs there, but there is a drain/culvert that used to have an iron grid has disappeared. Still doable just watch wheel position on exit/entry
