Hi all

I have just joined up on the forum after getting my 1984 110 3.5L V8 from Switzerland and drove it across to Canada..... actually it floated most of the way.

The choke cable has been replaced at some point in time and I think the linkage has been replaced as well. It has the dual SU carbs. As you can see from the photo below the choke cable links through the hole for the one carb then is linked by a secondary cable to the second carb. This is obviously not the correct way to do this (but it actually works quite well!)

Does anyone have a proper photo of what this should look like? (choke cable attachment and linkage unit to the second carb).

Also how do I get the choke cable to link to the light in the cab?

Cheers

Tim

hi
there are normally 2 adjustable rods that connect the su carbs, when you normally pull the choke it pulls the throttle and the rods mirror this on the opposite carb just google
hif6 su carbs or youtube.the rods have brittle ends that clip on ,they break easy.
hope it helps:)
just noticed there is a free hole in the background and the hole the wire feeds through the little ball joints are missing that the rod connects to..

Does anyone have a photo of how theirs is set up. It would be much appreciated.

Although it works the choke cable is very stiff and feels like its going to break sometime soon... just want to be prepared.

Cheers
