I am based in Cheltenham, is anyone going out to do some lanes between now and Christmas? Would love to tag along with my 90 and my lad would love to come along as well.

Thanks

FOD here bud , not much to speak of round here :( , aggs hill for a bit of fun for 20 mins apart from that theres a few around stroud way .

Sypher - thanks, I do go and play on Aggs hill at the quarry thanks to Tim. I am happy to travel a few hours to join in a day out in South Wales, Wiltshire, Cotswolds or even the Forest if people are headed out.

Thanks

What is there around Stroud? That's where I live and just got my Disco so fancy having a go!

Anyone found any more Green Lanes around the Cheltenham / Cotswold / Oxfordshire area?

I'm based in the North East of the Cotswolds and looking for something to do on Sunday...

Anyone tell me where Aggs hill is too please? Heard of it but never been there.

Cheers,

Rus.

Rus - if you PM me your mobile I would be happy to see if we can get together for Aggs Hill on Sunday afternoon. Thanks

Am based in Stroud and new to the whole green laning thing so would be good to tie up!

Cirrus, I think that I will be going to Aggs Hill which is a quarry near to Cheltenham with Rusty this coming weekend. If you want to come along then PM me your mobile number and I will text you a time. Thanks

Sorry, just saw this. Was busy with my other passion - race bikes!

Boo!

You missed out! We had a right giggle and I got chucked in at the deep end on my first off road outing...bent some things and got quite mucky! :D

The result...just collected a set of Amazons on another set of rims!!! :D

Just need the appropriate guards and then maybe we can attempt driving UP it hey COA?

That lane was a tad nutty!! I reckon we could drive up it but that large boulder step near the top might be a bit of an issue for the diffs but I would certainly be up for giving it a go. Drop me a line or PM if you want to go have fun. Rich

Just incase anyone in the area is interested, I've heard there's going to be something going on at Cleve hill this weekend, somewhere opposite the entrance to the golf club. From what I can gather it's organised by the CCROC, but the website is useless other than offering a point of contact.

Most of their stuff is prodominantly south of Cheltenham in the stroud area and between which is a bit of a trek for me, but may be of interest anyone around there.

Other than that, there's an epic 10 day gathering over at Eastnor Castle during the Easter period for which the MROC is a part of. Camping, beer and off road events aplenty. Pretty sure you'll have to be a member to go, but you can join there and it's only £27 for a year with events around the North Cotswold and South Warwickshire area.

hello

im from wiltshire allways looking for new places just seen aggs hill quary i think on google earth looks like it could be good 51.906671,-2.012322 is this open to the public or a pay and play site ?

Thanks

Rich

Rich,

Aggs hill is open to the public but a few things you should be aware of...

It's liable to have local "Chav's" with pit bikes or motorcross bikes, a large helping of attitude, and a reefer on the go! We got high just stood 10 yards from a group last time we went! lol - But on a serious note, keep an eye on them...they get right in your way and are likely to give you abuse or try getting physical if they feel it'sll make them look hard infront of their mates!

Coz it's open to the public, it's also suseptable to fly tipping so there's sometimes glass and other debris around! Watch your routes and avoid anything that looks like it COULD be dodgy!

Find someone to go with! COA is local to Aggs and I'm sure would be happy to go with you, and if I can get the Disco back on the road, I'll come down and have a blat with you! Maybe we could have a trek up / down the lane COA and I tried last time! TeeHee

Nice bit of fun though! :)

Sounds good but when the sun shines my Italian beauty is unleashed on our potholed so called roads! Amazon's seem ok - I got them on mine but need 2 more as two are perishing on the rim. pm me when you go out next and I will see what I can do!

The joys of Landrover ownership strike again! One problem fixed and another presents!

Had a blow on the manifold to downpipe, attempted to replace gasket, manifold studs sheared clean off! Have some tubulars on the way but we're not sure they'll fit. lol Then got to find some semblance of an exhaust to follow through from the manifolds...have an idea for this! ;)

THEN...I might be able to come play again!
