Hi @ All!
Since the frame of the P38 and the T5 frame from 2005 used under both the Discovery 3/4 and the Range Rover sport are pretty shure the last frames ever designed by Land Rover it might be interesting to compare those two.
As far as i know, the old Defender/Disco 1/2 frame was about 185mm in height, 80 mm in with but only 2mm thick according to what we gathered at this threat:

Was the P38 frame the same size? Was it stiffer because of thicker material? The T5 Plattform is known for beeing stiffer, is this because of bigger rails or thicker metal?
