Hi, i have a huge problem with my sisters 2002 freelander 2 ltr diesel ,bmw engine .The alternator has been changed for a new one as the battery light was on all the time and bettery not charging .
All was well but it seems the battery is not being charged ,i have checked it with a battery / alternator tester and checked it with a multimeter ,there is no output from the alternator and there in no red battery light on with the engine running .
Has anyone got any advice they can give me to what the problem might be ,could it be a blown fuse somewhere ? .i have checked the blue wire from alternator and thats fine as with the other wires,
I will check the fuses tomorrow if somneone can direct me to the right fuses please ,failing those checks ,could it be a faulty alternator ?
many many thanks for any help

It could be a faulty alternator. If nothing else was replaced, it does point to the alternator.
