Hi guys,
So I've currently got a steel spare with that horrible (to me) plastic cover.
If I buy a spare alloy to match do I need different nuts to hold it onto the door bracket studs? e.g. Standard alloy nuts, or is there a special kind of 'spare' alloy nut?

Anybody know what the screw thread is for these as well? As a couple of the studs could probably do with cleaning up with a die.

Regards

I think its just standard nuts of the type for alloy wheels. Don't buy new though there s loads kicking around.

If your going to use standard wheel nuts then you will need a spacer, around 20mm, on each stud before putting on the wheel, without the spacer the standard nut won't do up fully, maybe the studs are slightly longer something for u to measure.

The correct/genuine spare wheel nuts are M16 and are or was part no. ANR4914, and if required the spare locking nut with key is NTC8278.

Excellent thanks guys,

Discool are you saying part no. ANR4914 would fit without a spacer?

Im not but that would be correct if I did :) as the nuts are just for the spare wheel.

The nuts are open ended much like some locking wheel nuts so don't bottom out as a dome nut would do on a longer thread.

But u won't have any issues using normal road nuts + a spacer which could be rubber if u can get normal nuts free with the wheel.
