Got a new battery, disconnected the old one and the alarm went off (car unlocked/alarm off), so put it back on and fiddled with the fob until the alarm went off.
I then remembered due to a fault in the alarm systems "spider" I have joined two wires on one side because the relay for that circuit had gone. Car would not start without hitting the spider - jammed relay.
So I need to keep power to my Disco while changing the battery.
So if I connect the new battery in parallel to the LR terminals and then disconnect the old one, place the new one in put the connectors over it, then pull the jumpers off from under the now placed connectors you reckon I can safely keep the power to LR?
Cheers
