well - we made it. Although loads of peeps cried off - eventually Redwings, Kev, me and family went out to do a few lanes south of Basingstoke today. Just arrived back. Will be loading piccies in a while, but seriously, trying to remove broken trees with a hacksaw aint fun, so if anyone has an old, but servicable chainsaw (only for laning use) sitting idle, can yu PM me, if its cheep.

thanks BoB - coffes always on. I got one of those loppers - but its always at home
wots the prob with yo difflock, goto?

i don't think its engaging , i have tried all the ground checks and come away mildly confused about what should and shouldn't be turning , tested the light switch on the gearbox, which does work, but when i select it it doesn't come on at the dash, which leads me to believe it ain't happenening, i've no experience of offroading(i've avoided of the newbie trips 'cos of this too) so i can't tell by driving skill, although low range does engage fine.

yes had a good afternoon laning hope the kids enjoyed themselfs daft dont think the disco made a good chainsaw on the last one ,good job we had a hacksaw lol pics to follow

I keeps a Bowsaw and a Machete in me motor. Gets thru most stuff they does.

Machete or billhook wouldnt have been much good - some of the branches were 4inches in dia and green.

That certainly looked like a good day out.

(You can easy get through 4" with a decent weight, sharp billhook. Might take a couple hits, mind...)

Bow Saw is the answer. dunt ya need a chainsaw licence and insurance to use a chain saw in a public place??

here are a few pics - rest going up on boto****it :D
