Help! I need my cigar lighter to work, for my handsfree kit and big, powerful spotlight! I've got an N reg Discovery Tdi manual. Any idea how I get the centre console out so that I can fix aforementioned cigar lighter? AND - is there a fuse on the circuit?

I would imagine that the fuse is in the panel under the drivers side dash. If I remember correctly, I have had to replace mine.

I think, without the Haynes manual in front of me, that the console just unscrews. If you remove the gear stick gaiter and the transfer box gaiter, you will find some screws under there and also some screws inside the cubby box.

If I go out to the garage later, I will check on this in the manual.
