anyone know how to remove the centre console on the early freelander, im trying to remove the part that surrounds the automatic gear lever and where the HDC switch is, ive removed the two screws either side that are in line the the lever, the whole thing doesnt budge, any ideas?

there's a bit more to it iirc, like remove the rear console, radio and heater control panel.

There's also a plastic cover wiv screws under it, under the hand brake handle if I remember correctly. Cubby box has to come off and pull back a little to allow the auto gear stick bit to come orf.

all that just to get that surround out, oh well, better hop to it.
