Got a disco 1 and have no fob nor central locking. Anyway has anyone ever decided to put these universal central locking kits in there lands?

Are they an easy install

No never in a Land Rover and yes easy to install.
No doubt you disco has central locking installed even easer to get that working.

Right OK will have to look into it. Any idea where to start?

Start with the removal of the drivers door card and check for voltage at the actuator and the operation of the central locking micro switch on the back of the lock, it has been known for the switches operating cam to break.
