The head unit in my p38 is telling me that the cd magazine is missing, but it is in place , however I cannot eject it , I've been in the boot and pushed the eject button and nothing , anyone got any ideas , Thanks

Mine did the same.
The "cure" was to open the door and rap smartly on the magazine with a rubber handled screwdriver.
Bingo! it opened.

If the electronics doesn't recognise the cassette is there, it will not operate the eject. It can be a case of opening the unit up to manually eject the cassette.

Gave it a whack and it opened , now got it opening and closing but head unit is saying no disc but all six discs are loaded

Spot on it opened , now got it opening and closing but head unit is saying no disc , but all six discs are loaded , stumped again

Mine sometimes says "No-Disc" and it is usually a disc that I burned myself as a CD where the reader in the car and the writer in the PC are at opposite ends of the "Acceptable" spectrum.
Not had many problems with proper "Bought" CD's, have you tried a CD cleaning kit in place of one of the CD's?
Q. As the cassette is loaded with CD's can you hear it "cycling" as it loads/unloads each disc?
You have gotthe discs in the right side up? ;)
