I've used mine in UK, Morocco and Malawi... works well... a lot easier than a roof tent, as you can stand up and step out!
I found it easier to pack away the Caranex, rather than leaving it free standing and drive away... not sure how it would cope with wind, in the absence of the vehicle.

Hi, I used my mine on the first LandyRally, and the odd camping trip in the new forest, under rated IMHO, almost as easy to put up as an OZ tent, plenty of space in them.
As above, found it also easier to pack away than leave.
