I was driving my L322 quite happily the other day and parked it in the drive.

An hour later it wouldn't start and hasn't started since.

The AA came out and could not retrieve any fault codes but told me that I had low diesel fuel pressure ~175psi.

My question is, which of the three fuel pumps is most likely to be at fault:-

1. The In-Tank fuel Pump.
2. The Low Pressure Seciondary Pump
3. The High Pressure Fuel Pump.

Regards

They all give up I think lol

Probably the high pressure one
Since the engine requires the high pressure injection for it to run

Take it your talking about 3 litre diesel? High pressure pumps don't normally fail take inspection cover off at inline pump ,remove fuel pipe from inlet side of pump, turn ignition on ,fuel should be pumping out, that will rule out tank pump, you should also hear and feel inline pump working,if all seems fine ,next would be to do a fuel injector leak off test, more than likely it will be the injectors leaking back too much ,you can also use easy start ,if it starts and runs fine ,your looking at recon injectors,a leak off test will show which ones need doing,

I would first look to the inline secondary fuel pump ,turn your ignition on and you should be able to hear it under the back passenger side ,mine used to do it after short trips would take 10 minutes to get started again, they are about £100-150 and are dead easy to fit.

-I think I'm getting to the root of the problem. Las night I jury rigged 12V to the In-tank pump (and hence also to the Secondary pump) and I got it running.

That precludes the HP pump. Now all I've got to do is find where the 12V has gone to the two pumps ?

hi , try this , unplug body control unit under seat , then remove negative on battery replug the bcu back then reconnect negative lead ,, i do know this worked for a mate ,, let me know how you go on cheers mozz ,,it might have come loose and need re booting ,,

I've just noticed that my Air Sus has also stopped working. I'm starting to wonder if I might have a duff battery.

It did go flat after a few minutes of cranking the other day.
