Wonder if anyone can help on this one.

A couple of weeks ago I had 4 new tyres fitted along with wheel alignment. Yesterday I took the freelander out on a trip that involved motorway and driving over 55mph since having the tyres done. I found that if I was doing over 55 and had to put my foot on the accelerator the car would start to shake. If I was doing 65 and up hill is would shake quite violently, as soon as I take my foot off the accelerator is would go smooth again.

So, under 45mph, car absolutely fine, over 50mph car shakes, the steeper the hill with accelerator pushed down, the bigger the shake, the faster the speed, the bigger the shake, take my foot off accelerator, everything smooth regardless of speed.

Garage want the car for the day and reckon it will take all day to find the fault as he hasn't a clue what it could be.

What do you think ?

Thanks for any help ......
