Hi

I set off on my way home from work this evening, after travelling only a few hundred meters I realised that some thing was wrong with my clutch.

The clutch pedal won't press all the way to the floor, it goes so far then goes solid, and when I try to engage a gear it wont go in and crunches just like I had not pressed the clutch at all.

Any suggestions

Ian

it's possible the release arm has worn through preventing it from pivoting in either direction.

do a quick search on here lots of info ;)

have you had a juddering at all?. It does sound like the slave has punched through the clutch release fork. However my disco did the same as yours and turned out the friction plate of the clutch had pulled itself apart
