Anyone able to help.

I'm not at home and my fob died when I locked my car. I can't get back in now without my alarm going off. I changed the battery and it's still dead.

Apparently I can use a EKA code but I've no idea where to get that from????

OK,

I am surprised someone who has been on here for a while with a D2 has not noticed the issue regarding the EKA,

Check this out. it has links to the suppliers of the eka code, hoping it has not been changed,

Cheers

Yeah I've not go to the code. Went on the website and paid and not been sent it yet.

Got the recovery company out but the chap managed to wind down the window and now it won't go back up so car is not longer secure.

I used an EKA website recently and perhaps expected an automated response from a database - I paid at 7am, and looked at a screen saying wait for code (or something). Anyway, seems that there is a manual intervention as I emailed asking if there was a problem and got a reply saying the open at 9am. So - not sure if its the same website, but given it's Sunday afternoon, I'd not be too hopeful in an automated response and EKA arrival. Maybe just drop the company an email? Mine company was based up in Suffolk, super helpful...

Here we go - Radio Codes UK "Officially we do not open until 9am, as soon as we are open for buisness we will process your request EKA Codes can usually take around an hour to come back we will then email this to you."

So, not sure of it's the same company, but thought it may help...

@GJ1

Which site did you use?

Cheers

Radiocodes.co.uk

I managed to get it working. I used one key to open up, the alarm went off, locked it again with the door open, left the key in the lock and used the other key in the ignition and started it. It got me home but still have the same problem with the fob

Must be something in the air, last week the wife's fob fell apart no big deal I'll order a new case and swop the gubbings over......well no I removed the circuit board from the case and tried it but its dead, no its not the battery or the micro switches either sometimes the led lights up some times it doesn't sometimes it lights up and stays on for minutes at a time either way it won't lock or unlock the car.

Time for a new key fob me thinks

Plus a visit from Mr Nanocom if it is a used fob. Just make sure it is genuine fob if used, or make sure you know about the 30 seconds rule if it is a recased R75 fob.

Cheers
