My engine number is 24114214A2 on the block and as per my V5
The chassis number is 24129093C on the chassis and per the V5

Yet it is a diesel 2.25l 88 inch, first registered on 10/2/67 and on the Glencoyne site and also the S2c site, this is listed as a perol engine. The cylinder head is cracked and I need to look for a new cylinder head. Any suggestions as to why the numbers dont add up and where to go for a replacement head?
Can anyone help?

Try Turner Engineering for a new head. They may not have one as they tend to upgrade you existing unit. You might have to buy a secondhand engine to get a useable head.

Thanks for that. I guessed as much but was puzzled by the V5 seeming to tie in with what I have in the engine bay as I would have expected the V5 to be different.
