Before I start sorry no pics and a fairly poor description but here goes -

Can anyone give me an indication of the value of a 1990 Defender 90 truck cab fitted with a V8 and Allard Supercharger.

The supercharger was fitted some years ago but not sure on the mileage it has done.

The Defender has done 80k miles, condition is average, certainly not enthusiast owned but a solid basis for a project. No obvious signs of any rot, interior is reasonable, a few minor dents but not bad.

Drives OK - no smoke, pulls hard and sounds amazing.

Will try and answer any questions to help value it but more info to follow.

Thats a good start, no I dont.

I have been to see it and the guy wants £4k for it.

It all depends, it could be good, it may be in awful state. You need photos, and to go (or get someone who knows landys) to look over it and check all obvious areas for rot.

£4k could be a bit toppish, unless the chassis etc. are in cracking condition in which case might be OK at that price

4k for a g plate 90 is OTT especially if it's been faffed about with the v8's are crap enough as it is. with stressing them with a super charger.

Only a genuine factory V8 90 CSW in good overall condition would be worth that kind of money, it's unusual but not original and originality commands that sort of price
