just measure the rpm of the diesel engine with my Hawkeye ,, 812 rpm warm engine ;; :confused:
think it should be 700 to 750 rpm , :)

can you adjust the rpm ,, and how ?:D
 
You need to get into the settings of the EDC diesel ecu.
The settings should be from 1 to 255, I think.

You can either add or subtract 1 or 2 at a time until you achieve 750 rpm.
 
750 +/- 50 as Keith says. Can be reset with Nanocom. Normal calibration setting is 128, anything up from that faster, anything lower than that slower.
 
i have a hawkeye ; how to you do this with it , mean going to the edc with it ;

If Hawkeye is capable of doing it yes into EDC. Pump calibration settings. If it does that. Had a quick look at Hawkeye, it does not do programming on P38 other than EAS according to the bumf..

thanks ,will do it tomorrow , can someone tell , y it suddenly have more rpm, it use to be at 720 rpm a 9 months back ,,,
 
have check it with the hawkeye , but cannot find anyway i can adjust the idling speed , can one please explain step but step ,, i am a dump in electronic ,,,

yes i check the pump timing in November last year after 50.000 kilometer , but idling was at 720 or something like that , in April this year i change the engine oil and add engine additive slick 50 , could it be the slick 50 ?

If you look at my posts i said i had looked at Hawkeye specs and it does not do programming on anything other than EAS. So it appears you cannot adjust tickover speed with it. Don't know about the Slick 50, but if it has caused enough friction loss to raise the tickover speed it must be bloody good stuff.
 
Slick50 and alike are snake oil- lots of court cases lost and Dupont DO NOT recommend PTFE in engine
 
is there another way round to adjust the rpm of i have to bring it to the dealer ? :rolleyes:


for me slick50 is a good additive engine oil is more quite , smooth :D
 
Slick 50 was good stuff 20 years ago, Molyslip is the one now.

Adding slick 50 shouldn't raise the RPM. I'd check all the hoses for an air leak.

Rodntod, Most numeric settings on all ecu's use the generic 1 to 255 for programming.
