The "engine" will be happy with whatever method of fuel/air it gets as long as the mixtures are good.

Airflow meter will add more fuel to allow for larger capacity so you're good to go.
 
the 5am superseded the 3am from 1990 on. you can use a 3am ins 5am car but not the other way around. I have a 5am on my 3.9 which is a late interim block from 95

I'm elbows deep in matching the inlet to my ported heads at the moment....

....I cannot believe how cack the original casting is (read how much work I've got to do and I'm getting quite bored with it now..... put 5 hours in yesterday for 1 side!!!!!!). If interstead I'll post a couple of before and after pictures....

Still should be worth it in the end......

I'll check what AFM I have....

Anybody know the differences in the 5 Am and 3?
