I have a gaylander 2.0 l series. Its nice, goes like a rocket, good in the summer. But I'm tired of the constant 4wd, and I'm getting more serious about greenlaneing etc. problem is, it's my 35 mile daily and at the mo I get average 35-38 mpg. Iv always liked disco's and fancy a tidy 300tdi.

Good move to sell up and buy, or am I going to notice the drop in Eco?

Iv read posts of 23mpg, and 40mpg.

Cheers chaps

Hmm you said it....

yes buy a disco ,japan inport for 300 with no rust or td5 with good chassis as is the bit that rusts on them bodies are good

I honestly would keep the freelander for work and have somthing like a series for of roading thats my next plan because if you seriously damage you car off road how will you get to work?

The Discovery I previously owned would never get more than 25 mpg no matter how it was driven, nice motor but the rust got it in the end.
