Anyone here stuck a cab light in their series at all? Anyone rigged it up to the door opening? How would one do this?
Cheers guys.

what i did was wire in a multi cigarette lighter switch, and bought a light that plugs into the ciagarette lighter, put the light in the ceiling with some brakets and the cigarette lighter has a seperate switch module so you can control what sockets are on and off, look in halfords thats where i got my stuff, they have a huge section of lighter sockets and accesories.

Get one of those flouresant (sp) strip lights in a Caravan shop, usualy 1 or 2 tubes about 12" long, these have a switch in them, hard wire em to car and use the switch, they are bright as well....

Cheers brnocz for the PM. What type of switch is it youve used though? Just a small lever microswitch or a foot type switch?
Cheers.

reply to question on what type of switch, i took mine off an old vauxhall which was a push button,a proper door switch and ive never had any probs with it,

I fitted the Mercedes Spinter lights in my cab. Although I fitted 2, one would have been more than enough. I would suggest getting a cab light which has a switch built into it and a bit of wiring loom - makes things a lot easier :) I couldn't be bothered using a door switch though.

i have a generic lamp in my roof, it runs off a switch on the dash whick is much more useful than one on door switches
