Hi I've just bought a 93 Discovery and I'm getting no to little hot air blowing from the heaters. I've been told it would be a good idea to change the thermostat and flush out the heater matrix. I'd like to try to do both but me being me I don't know where they are.
Could someone describe, in simple, terms where they are located?

Cheers.
Dan.

First things first, you have got some water in yer motor haven't you?...

...and not just the water that comes in through the sunroofs, alpine lights, rotten boot floor, holes in the footwells created by the water which came in through the aforementioned sunroof! etc.

Just had to silicone seal my front sunroof tonight actually after it rather conviently sprang a leak straight into the middle of the drivers seat lastnight god bless its cotton socks:mad:

Yep full dash out job if you want to get at the heater matrix, Thermostat is simpler as it's at the front of the engine where the rad hose is connected.

Ah, OK I probably don't want to remove the heater matrix but just flush it out.
And there seems to be plenty of water in the system.
She stays at a constant temperature, just below the middle of the gauge which I've been told is too cool and most probably my Thermostat.

Cheers for the advice.

Nope just below centre is perfect and exactly where it should be so it sounds like your thermostat is fine. If you want to flush the matrix disconnect the two hoses where they enter the bulkhead and stick an hose pipe on one of them and flush it thru that way.
