Sorry to hear about that.

What's going on with all the diesel P38s at the moment? They all seem to be blowing their engines judging by the amount of posts on here recently. I thought the V8 was the unreliable one? :)

The BMW derv is just as heat sensitive as the V8, only difference is they didn't slip liners so were cheaper to fix.

I suppose they're all getting to the age now where things like this happen, regardless of which engine is fitted. A P38 is a heavy old lump of a car for an engine to move about.

I red-lined mine in 1st 2nd and 3rd off the lights playing silly buggers with a L322 TD6 (I edged him!) :D So my V8 will probably explode tomorrow to balance the numbers.

You know about the look! Any one looks over its time for traffic light gran prix ;) haha!!
I took a lad in a Barried up Focus t'other day with his Doris riding shotgun.. Was sat at lights for a rounderbout coming off the A64. First batch of lights I wasn't expecting it and he tore off. Second set I looked over and he gave a knowing nod. I dropped into first and waited, once the light went amber I put my foot to the ground, by the time it went green boost came on and I was gone. Even better is he tried to come back and get in front of me before it went into single carriage way. But I held him off. I could see him raging in my rear view mirror. :D
