I've seen this a few times now, where people sell the V5, chassis plates and number plates.
Whats the idea with this? And how legal is it?
I can see that, hypothetically, you could have a 80" series i landrover, and bit by bit replace parts from a series iii, so that eventually you would have a series iii landrover with a tax exempt log book (or just swap the chassis plates and claim thats what you have done).
I do like the idea behind this, and with tax for mine being £200 per year (I know... could be a lot worse!), if I could get hold of one of the exempt logbooks for around £200, it would be well worth it.
I am a little concerned about the legality of it though. Does anyone have any further info on it?
