Here goes..........not a bushing thing but improvised engineering..........old, over eager and niave. Bought a second hand head, fitted it, drank water like a fish.....Stripped head of, read internet and checked head, found it to be cupped 0.25mil in center!!!!!!bang on dead center!.........It's Saturday, i need a car..SO...down to glass shop..3 off 6mm float 20x2 inch, stick together with super glue. Next, screwfix, a roll of 120g emery cloth and a pot of impact adhesive. Back home, orbital sander, 80 grit and blue felt tip, knock worst of at each end, then finish with my glass sanding block!! 5 hours later a head thats not twisted the warp/cup is down to less than 0.05 mill, and tightened down a dream......................done 3/400 miles on road and moterway...no issues so far...lucky or am i expecting a cloud or bang soon?????

Glass is a great flat surface, lapping the head flat like that should work ok.Probably a better finish than milling.-well done
