Looked at Series III Diesel today. Good chassis, little smoke, sounds great, middle of the road body and a ride from hell. I would have bought it apart from the ride. I'm not talking about your usual Series 3 bumpy ride (I know what this is like, because I already have one). It was going along the road and any slight pot hole or lump in he road made my teeth feel like they were going to jump out of my mouth and I couldn't keep a steady position on the gas pedal so it was like a kangaroo. Had a look at the springs and they had 11 leaves front and back. Are these the heavy duty ones that I have heard of and is this the cause of the poor ride. Are they fitted for towing or off roading ?

I think I have 11 leaves on the front and 9 on the back...

Soaked em in oil, loaded landy up with scrap steel and drove like a t**T for a while, still stiff but better...

Oil and speed bumps + the right pressur in the wheels (around 25psi for a swb)
It makes hell of a differance.

Fink its sposed to have 11 on the back and 9 on front!! Whatever they need ripping off and good set of bolocks..(para that is) put on... ah lovely
