We've arrived in the South of Spain safely.

Ferry crossing from UK --> Spain was really bad... lot of ill people on that boat. I spent most of it horizontal. As soon as I stood up I felt terrible, lay down felt great

Set off driving through Spain, at 10:30 called in at a hotel to see what time hotels generally stayed open till - 24 hours the guy says... we continued at 00:30 started looking for hotels... all were shut. at 02:30 we gave up and wild camped in a park on the side of the motorway - it was generally very wet, missus and I was in the roof tent so OK, Mark and Tim & Caroline slept in their Landy's.

Today, very long drive, but, arrived in south Spain, very pleasant temperature, met up with the rest of the group and generally just chilling out :)

Pics to follow, most are on the DSLR though so will wait until we return or get to a hotel to sort them out for now though...

My pitch:

Mark's Pitch:

(I'm sure Mark will claim he was just "resting his eyes"... ;)
Tim's Pitch:

I feckin' felt dead.
You can count on one hand how much sleep I've had in the last 60hrs!

Excellent stuff...camping on the side of the road...that's the spirit :D Keep us updated I like this sort of stuff :).

The famous patent pending Mark L position. How many times have I seen that before.

As for the whine.....nuff said. :D :D :D

Glad it's going well guys. :) :)

No photos i'm afraid - internet has taken 5 minutes just to load this page, but, we are in the middle of the dessert - (it's awesome to drive across!) tomorrow we have an early morning camel ride and get to watch the sun rise :) (though Mark's opting for staying in bed for some reason?!)
Then some driving around the dessert followed by quad biking up and over sand dunes! (can't wait for this one!)
(again Mark isn't doing that?!)

No major break down's yet - Mark can't open his drivers door, but, sure we'll fix that, other than that, hotel thing tonight so SHOWERS :D

Just a couple of pics from mark that I'm transferring from fb :)

Global LZIR in operation!

From MarkL - Genuine rescue as nobody else was about. Trying to fix my door while everyone else has ####ed off sight seeing for the day with zero offer of help. Oh well...

:(

Oops, sounds like there is an upset, hope all is fixed soon dude. :)

Hope he gets that motorhome out though. Does Mr Mark get his LZir wings for this? :D

Well my door is sorted thanks to an old boy in the group who is just an absolute legend and not having to pay for his beers tonight.

One guy has snapped his swivel ball clean off on his 300tdi D1 but was recovered and back on the road within 5hrs thanks to the amazing contacts our guide has.

Another guy in the most tricked out D2 I've ever seen has blew his diff and half shaft to pieces on the sand dunes, but he is part of a Spanish Redline Racing team and they're currently all over it.

This place is f***ing incredible. Brutal, but amazing.

Deasy should be transferring more pics for me later, as Photobucket is too slow for the wi-fi where we're staying.
