Crispy 110

New Member
:) Alright lads, I’m new to this forum and would like to firstly say hello and then strait after that shout HELP!

I have had my ex water board 110 NA diesel for six years and have done many things to it including a 300TDi conversion. But I now find myself doing the dreaded bulkhead change.

My question is this, where on gods own fecking earth can I get a quality replacement bulkhead from. Is it possible to get an original NA diesel type replacement B.H. or can any one recommend a good supplier of a galvanized unit? I would consider a TD5 B.H. but they seem to be bloody pricy all of a sudden, I’ve been quoted about £800!!! Any help most appreciated.

I have a galvanised bulkhead for my 300tdi on order from Ashtree Landrovers.

They have even spray painted it for me. I havent received delivery of it yet, but they came highly recommended and are a pleasure to deal with on the phone.

If going down the galv route, consider their galv bulkhead mounting brackets.

The NA bulkhead is identical to all bulkheads up until the end of the 200Tdi run if that widens your options. 300TDis have different transmission tunnels but can be adapted. TD5 need a tab more more but are easy to and they are plenty of guides on here to help you. The new ones are very different. I got a 200Tdi bulkhead for mine that was mint bar one top corner for a steal on ebay. Breakers yards might have one lurking around also.

Try and pick up a cheap td5 bulkhead; they are a lot less dosh. Follow Buster's guide to make it fit. I bought one of ebay for £250 from a reputable breakers and it was mint.

But before you fit it, turn it upside down and fill it full of waxoil.

Or tape up any holes and fill with zinc rich primer....

then paint...

Seam seal any joints then spray with stone chip before priming and painting...
