I recently bought a BritPart Centre Box for my LR 90 SWB 2.5 D '84. The blown centre box is LR original part (probably original). There is a bracket on the original that is not on the BritPart box. The bracket fixes the exhaust sytem in place to the chassis. Without the bracket it will be left to hang free.

Has anyone suffered the same problem? I expect the solution is a bracket from BritPart or send it back. I expect a rousing response to the latter having read the disparaging remarks made about BritPart. I also note the original is a flat box and the BritPart is a cylindrical shape.

I shall answer my own question having bothered to do some proper research. In order to prevent anyone else making the same silly mistake, make sure you order a 2.5 D exhaust part and not a 2.5 TD; they are quite different silencers. I shall be ordering a new one tomorrow!
