No matter what I do I cannot see how these seals will work.

The seals are so much higher than the originals that they prevent the sunroof from going into the closed position. The glass meets the rubber and the motor stops. The rubber acts as a kind of buffer.

It also requires considerable force to compress the rubber so that you can actually attach the sunroof in the first place.

Any help appreciated.

EEQ 500010 is the correct LR part number, possibly your using a patten part, OEM or a genuine item should fit perfectly.
Is it correctly seated ie clipped-in at the base ?

As the originals are no longer available I bought what I thought were the correct Britpart items.
I’ve pushed them in as far as they will go keeping them both dry and lubricated.
The bags are marked as Britpart items. I recall an American owner on another forum had the same problem.
Got to the stage of returning these. Frustrating is not the word.
