Gimme a run down of briercliffe...

Is it similar to cowm? I like cowm, but mainly for the tracks round the outside, not so much the rock hills etc (although I do like them too really)

Basically i said to my girlfriend we'll go offroading alone together for once cos she always has to go with the lads, which must be a bit tedious!

However, she doesn't like cowm so much for some reason, so I'm thinking why take her somewhere she doesn't particularly enjoy passengering, when we can try somewhere new?

I need somewhere on the 22nd or 29th really!

Cheers :)

its a bit different to cowm no set routes do as much or as little as you want. still lots of water and mud. come and have a try :)

trust me as somebody who sets out trials briercliffe is every bit as challenging as whitworth if not more so. Plus the route you have to stick to at whitworth is a piece of cake to most seasoned off roaders. Briercliffe on the other hand you have the run of so with a little imagination you can really push the limits of your vehicle and your skills at the wheel. Following a track that a million others have at cowm doest not really develope your skills. Getting a clean sheet at a site where you can try a route with out years old ruts guiding you round really teaches you to pick a line and understand the limits of your vehicle like the travel, approach and departure angles etc.

Cowm has this potential too but you are not allowed to explore it. I am not having a go at the organisers as its more than obvious why they are put in a position where they can not just let you run riot, however it really does cap the possabilities of this great site.

Both sites offer the terrain to stop any vehicle you can build but with out using your imagination to read the land any site is only as good as you make it. This is why whitworth is more popular as people ride a round briercliffe thinking there is not much to do, when its only a lack of neon lights saying drive this way sheep thats stopping you.

is that more like you wanted to know ??? also see you tube vids

im going so it will be a good day !!! lol

Yep, and I'm afraid I'm out too, this time.

The amount of parts I have bought has left me with zero pounds this week, so I guess I'll see y'all at cowm on the 29th instead.

Briercliffe next month!!
