Hi

When checking my HT coils today I noticed on the rear of the drivers side exhaust manifold and section of melted plastic pipe (though it was a HT cable at first !). When the engine cooled down (ouch..) there appeared to be 2 section of hard black plastic tubing with melted ends...... trying to trace them under the car the seem to go to the gearbox /transmission....Im assuming that they are some type of breather tubes.

Can anyone advise what they are for and what the should look like as mine are melted ! Do I need to worry about replacing these ASAP.....

Cheers

Make sure they are not blocked. They should be clipped up above wading height. If you don't do any wading they will be fine if you do either cange or extend them.
