having a few issues with the brakes on my RRC, and long story short my brake pump occasionaly cuts out, but because the warning light is already on due to a different fault in the ABS system, i wouldnt have any warning that the brakes have lost pressure.

so i was thinking i could just run a couple of wires from the pressure sensor under the bonnet to a bulb in side the car to act as a makeshift brake pressure warning light.

would this work, or is it not as simple as that?

thanks,

Tom

well thats why im not using it on the road like it is..

and this would just be a temporary fix to allow me to go anywhere in the current weather, just until i can get it sorted properly

i'll bodge most things on a car to see me over but never the brakes its not always your fault its the other idiots on the road.Myself i would not take a chance on something like that.Sorry if come across a bit strong. But to me its common sense.

no i never take chances when it comes to brakes or steering, but cant help but feel that running wires directly from the sensor would be a more reliable fix than relying on lucas' finest if it was fixed properly anyway..

but failing that, anyone who cares to can have a read through the thread i started about the problems ive had and maybe point me in the right direction for a proper fix?
