Recently went for mot and the brake pipe burst I'm two places due to corrosion. Replaced pipe and filled reservoir and the brakes seem to be extremely great, better than before in fact. I haven't bled them at all yet. Are they self bleeding!? As lots of air came out into the reservoir. I'm prob just being a spaz.

I often wonder. When a disabled person, Asks a question as stupid as this one.. Do they qualify it by saying " Sorry I'm just been a Norm"

If he drives it without bleeding the brakes properly he stands a great chance of a life-changing event ...

Nope, you're deffo a twunt ...

You must bleed the brakes, there is a procedure is the manual or you can find it on here, follow it exactly , It's a two person job.

Let me guess it was a rear brake pipe, for if it were a front you would of not needed to ask this question as you would of hit somthing and of come to a sharp stop .

Well thanks for the helpful criticism chaps. Or not. I was only asking as a mechanic said they were power brakes and were self bleeding. Hence why I was asking if this was correct. There really was no need to be offensive. I have now bled the brakes and was a little air in the system but not as much as I would of thought there should have been with replacing two pipes.

With something as critical as braking, it's best to ask beforehand if you're not sure, rather than after the event. Given your last post though, I would go and convey the abuse towards the "mechanic" who endangered your life and that of other road users with his negligent advice.

That said, if you get used to the humour on this forum, you'll find it a very useful place for information as a Range Rover owner, as you've discovered on your other threads.
