the early freelanders had 15 ins wheels and i can not think what year they change to bigger ones measure them

Depends what vin number the W reg car is as 2000 was a switch over year. If its a YA then yes, they are the same model. If not then the brakes changed and were different.

Having said that, I have seen a V6 (so MY01) car that had the YA brake setup. Feck knows why it had the earlier brakes, almost as if LR ran down the parts bin even after changing the model year.

The brake carrier part numbers for YA and MY01+ (is that 1A +) cars was discussed on another thread recently.
