should be 11mm but often corrode smaller a 1/4 drive hex socket is useful to slacken them to begin with1997 V8 auto
Just changed abs accumulator and about to bleed brakes.
Anyone know what size the caliper nipples are? Tried 3/8, 7/16 and 1/2 and then 9, 10, 11 and 12mm
Seems to be 11 but not convinced. They are a bit rusty
no its fineMy spanner, a pretty good one but not a "snap on" rounded the nipple.
Soaked them all in brake fluid. Is it such a heinous crime to spray them with penetrating fluid?
Hi mate, I have just replaced the discs and pads on my 90. What I have found over my many years experience is to buy new nipples - they are only a couple of quid and readyly available. Just takes some of the worry out of the job1997 V8 auto

It's good to see others recommending new nipples. You need to get some grips on them & throw them away. Replace with stainless if you can as copper is to soft. Or just buy a load of copper nipples.
For bleeding, get the pressure kit, the one you attach to the spare wheel. It makes bleeding so simple a 6 year old could do it. You just go from wheel to wheel, open the valve & watch the bubbles fly out.
is there a specific way to bleed the system or can you do it the same as other marques
thought id be proactive and just print the brake section off at work well that clearly didn't work the printer only tried to print the full lot ohh ****e now I have to try and get 1000 pages through security in the morning
