Just replaced my accumulator now when I turn on ignition the pump runs for about 10 seconds after 6 press on pedal comes back on again does this sound about right thanks for advice what I’ve noticed is there’s a clicking sound at the brake pedal not every time though

Will count the presses again wasn’t the keenest in the maths class but should be able to get to 4/6 cheers

Just did count properly 20 seconds ignition on brake light 3 times on again 5 seconds

Will check that in engine tomorrow just to make sure thanks Kermit rr
in my case, i got someone else to push the pedal and I could clearly feel it through one of the brake pipes, think it was the one that went down to the reduction valve underneath the coolant expansion tank

The return spring on the brake pedal started to click on mine, a quick spray of 3 in 1 cured it.
4 hard presses of the pedal before the pump runs again is about normal.

It is something internal to the modulator that is making the noise for me, the pipe was just a conduit. I'll eventually strip it down to see what has happened. I replaced the whole unit with a used one off eBay, the reduction valve seems to work fine

Did check this morning definitely coming from pedal not modulator and checked with nanocom test all valves operating properly so will find return spring data posted and spray that
