Not a lot of really nice things seem to happen these days, and after returning home from a particularly miserable week away at work, I opened the post to find......

I HAD WON ONE OF BP's "FUEL FOR A YEAR" PRIZES!!!!! :D:D:D:D

Once I'd picked myself back up off the floor, I was astonished to see the cheque from BP already attached, nearly £2K!!!!!!! I use a lot more fuel than that in a year, but hey ho, it definitely goes a long way to keep my little line-up of V8s and straight 6es chuffing along in their thirsty way!!!!!

I always fill up with Ultimate - have done for years as the Rangie esp preferred it and the difference was noticeable on the occasion I used a supermarket for petrol, so thought little of the usual use of the Nectar card when filling up....saw the competition and thought, nice for some......

So its a chilled weekend for me now.....:D:cheer2:

2k??? What they base that figure on a fcukin moped??

They based it on a fuel consumption of 35mpg (hahahahaha:D:D:D - I wish!!!!!)and a fuel price of £1.04/l which was the average over the time the competition was held......given that Ultimate is around £1.10-£1.28 / l :eek:the workings-out were a bit flawed really!!!! But still, 2 grand is 2 grand and its a great prize !!!!!!!:cool::cool: I'm happy to have it.....it does buy quite a bit of petrol really, the Rangie costs around £100 to fill so that would be about 20 tankfuls, not exactly a year now, but I'm pleased!!!!!!!:)

I think its great! No one gets owt for nowt these days, and no matter how much fuel you use 2k is a bonus which you wouldnt normally have. :D:D:D

So you can really put your foot down now and not care for however long your free petrol lasts, result.

Brilliant love it when people win maybe your luck is running and you should buy 2000 lucky dips - well just a thought

;)Complain to BP (after you've cash the cheque....;)), the competition stated "Fuel for a Year" that ain't a years fuel more like 2 months, but it'll do to start with while they send the rest or better still suggest they supply you with a "BP Fuel Card" for the year.

If they do give you a card, get a set of new number plates made up and loads of double sided tape, then we'll all be around at the weekend......
