Going to put some heavy duty sills on.
People who have done it before, I see folk have used 120x60 rhs. What size tubing? I can get 1 1/4 welded galv tube and some 90deg bends right easily.
Does the tubing clear the doors ok using 120 section if it's just butted against it? I was thinking of leaving the tube open welded to the bottom of the box section as well as the side.
What about hi-lift points, I was thinking of some lugs underneath the tubes to stop the hilift sliding, but that would kinda stop obstruction sliding as well... any thoughts?
Last question, when you've welded them on, I presume a seam weld to the floor below the door seal, some plug welds to the floor and going to the body mounts on the inside. Has this been strong enough for off roading, jacking, maybe winching off etc.
Sorry for the barrage of questions
