Just thought I would feed back that I fitted a new battery and what a difference. the old battery was hanging in there and was three or so years old. The car has always taken a couple of turns to start. But recently has been going low over a few days (don't laugh have been cycling to work during the week, Docs suggestion). The wireless door bell and weather station have flattened it twice. So with the impending cold weather thought I would change it and now it is leaping in to life literally hardly turning over and it is going.

Fitted a bosch 334 from alpha-batteries for £120 with 5yr warranty!

Diesel Dt by the way.
V happpy.

Just being doing a little bit of digging and it turns out that Alphaline batteries and Numax for that matter are actually Varta. Same factory, same production line just a different sticker - and price. Makes the Alphaline even more desirable.

Well it was a last minute purchase as needed to get it delivered next day to my dad who was coming over to Jersey in the Ferry. The local guy did not have the correct CC sized battery and wanted a very large sum of money for the right battery and couldn't give me a delivery date, 3 months or so.......

I suppose the bottom line is that it makes me wonder if the battery that was fitted when I bought the bronze wonder is whether the old battery had the correct CC rating.
