I have bottom door seals that I want to fit to my new front doors. My vehicle is a 93 200Tdi, but my new dorrs are the newer Pumer type.

I have seals that where bought (by previous owner) for the original doors. Offering them up they line up with the pre drilled holes in the bottom of the door, so I'm thinking they are compatible.

My question is: Are they meant to have a metal bar samwhiching the rubber to the door, Or are they just rivetted as they are?

All I found from a search, was how to fit the rear door seal. Useful for when I do that one at least.

No metal bar.

Don’t use the original type door seal. Go and purchase the seals for the bottom of the Puma door as these are MUCH better.

What size pop rivets and washers will I need?

I think the standard ones are 4.8mm diameter, 5mm hole. Grip range probably something around 4-6mm. Have a look on YRM website. They are stainless steel mandrel, alloy body. I think their type A rivet should work, but maybe type B if you want to use a washer too.
