Anyone know of a UK supplier who does these?
My D2 never came with a bottle jack, and the only one I've got now doesn't have a cradle on the top

There's a supply and demand situation over here meaning any Land Rover vehicles heading to the scrapyard will never make it as someone will have bought it before it ever arrives.

I feel your pain. I would never survive without a scrapyard. Not just for parts, I am always weighing in metal.

I think I might be able to buy a proper D2 jack off the bay of flea with really low postage to the Island so I may not need to have a cradle made. :)

They may not be as cheap as you think, I was surprised how expensive they were last time I looked , about £40 to £50.

Cheers

The one I've seen comes with the original toolkit along with four wheel chocks. I may not win it yet....

Not up to speed on new motors/jacks but would an old RR disco 1 jack not work?
These have a small cup on top & double rams.

I suppose it would. I'm just not comfortable using the plain bottle jack that has the small top on it, especially when jacking under axle tubes.

These do have a small cup. Off to search for a photo.

Who do you use to get items/parcels onto the island?
You got Ups?

Normally largish / heavy packages are delivered via a local company who take on the local deliveries for your UK based delivery companies, so although it's effectively outsourced it can originally be sent by UPS, DHL etc etc

Looks good. I got fed up of taking the kit from the back and the jack from under the bonnet and treated myself to another trolley jack but with 520mm lift and 3T capacity.
