Morning guys I'm wanting to fit a boost gauge so I can keep a eye on things does anybody have a picture of where they've fitted there's under the bonnet? I'm not clued up on what pipes what in there :) or tapping the manifold outta my skill zone I think
Also anyone got a spare gauge and pipe kicking about ?

not got a pic, but its easy.

you just need a "T" peice, theres a pipe come off the back of the turbo, and goes round to the injection pump, cut it, insert T and jobs a good un.
I cut mine close to the turbo, theres enough slack in it to reconnect it up minus the gauge if I ever need to then.

It depends where you want to measure the boost. If you want to see the boost that the turbo produces then place it where Tim suggested.

The other place is to install it is by tapping a hole in the inlet manifold. This will show the actual boost pressure that the engine receives, helping identify pressure loss throughout the intercooler and pipework. There is a handy threaded hole on the rear of a 300tdi inlet manifold, just by the heater pipes ;)

I'm going to fit mine in Tim's location first to check the turbo isn't faulty, then move it to check for any problems with pipework, but thats more because of on-going turbo faults.

I'm

That's exactly where I fitted mine. Zero drilling or cutting of pipes required.
I bought the required brass plug and boost pipe adapter from Demon Tweeks.

Lovely thnk you , one more question if I may what thread does the male thread need to be and do i need long or short type please

Cheers

I honestly can't remember the exact sizes, as it's been a while since I carried out the mod.

Def go for short IF you can get it.
At the time I bought mine, they did a long and a short version but then switched to a medium version only due to manufacturing costs etc.
