Not sure if this is a stupid question or not, certianly feels it is.

I'm putting on a new bonnet to my lightweight, the current one has been drilled - is this to let air in or heat out???

So i thought I would fit an air scoop, but then I thought turn it around so it doesn't catch the flying muck and lets face it offroad ain't that fast to scoop in the air.

Do I even need extra holes and scoops around my rattle fit bonnet:confused:

Any advice welcome, tired google and didn't get anywhere.

You do want to let hot air out where possible and only draw cold air in.

Open cone air filters are truly awful for heat soak, if they must be used they just have a cold air supply, and any holes to let heat out are usually appreciated.

But no, you do lot 'need' either.

Put vents in the wing if you want heat loss or those holes in the side of the bonnet like v8 Jon ?
