Hi, does anybody know the correct way around the nylon bonnet hinge bushes should be on a series three? They can be fitted two ways. One way lifts the bonnet higher than the other way at rest. I never noticed when I removed it. Also, should there be any rubber strips/buffers on the bonnet bottom edges to stop the bonnet chafing the wings when it is closed? (As I’ve just re-sprayed my wings and was a bit worried about marking the paint). Many thanks !

Don't know about the bushes, but the bonnet edge along the wings is down to adjusting the wings to the correct hight on the bulkhead, the grille panel to the correct hight at the front, (I can't remember if there is adjustment there) the bonnet catch to the correct hight, and make sure you get the bushes in the bonnet hinges the right way, I read somewhere they fit two ways.

when closed the slot in the bush is nearest top, this makes it easier when removing bonnet as it lines up with fixed hinge

Thanks chaps, I'll swap the bushes around tomorrow and make some adjustments so everything lines up.
