Well having just taken custody of a part built series 2 can any one tell me what bolts to use is it best to stick with UNF or swop over to metric.

I changed to metric try stainless steel and larger repair washers. Useful sizes are 6mm 8mm and 10mm about 25/30mm long
Cheers

Stick to standard on all the drive train, metric is fine for body fixings. I use Screwfix as a supplier of metric fixings, much cheaper than old UNF stuff.

There's quite a few people sell nut and bolt sets in NF on ebay, worth getting on the shelf. I use the odd metric on the bodywork when in a hurry but I prefer to keep everything that should be imperial, imperial - leads to less confusion in the long run.

Stick to OEM threads some will be bsf/bsw/unf/unc depending on the year and series.

A good reason to expand the tool kit...
